Vivienne Irene Lux (Schafer)

Vivienne Irene Lux, 92, passed away peacefully March 28, 2026. Born in Akron, May 28, 1933, she lived most of her life in Brimfield.

Vivienne was a member of St. Peter of the Fields Church where she was a member of the Alter Rosary Society. She was an LPN for Summa Hospital and retired in 1996 with more than 20 years of service. Vivienne loved staying busy, hand stitching quilts, crocheting, painting, crafting with her friends from ‘Stitch and B*$!h’, and even making blankets for “My Very Own Blanket” in her final week of life. She had fond memories of volunteering at the food kitchen.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Robert, parents, Walter and Irene Schafer; infant son, Joseph; sisters, Kathleen (Hank) Domenico, Molly (Bob) Pollack, Rosemary (Earl) Heydorn; brothers, James (Mary Kay) Schafer and Terry Schafer.

Vivienne is survived by daughters, Yvonne (Bill) Arrant, Judy (Dave) Watkins; sons, Mark (Connie) Lux, Robert (Michele) Lux, Ronald (Lesa) Lux, Matthew (Kari) Lux; sister, Maureen (Tim) Earle; 15 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 1, 2026 the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave, Tallmadge (on The Historic Tallmadge Circle)

Mass of Christian burial will follow visitation at 12:00 p.m. at St. Peter of the Fields Church, 3487 Old Forge Road, Rootstown with Fr. Kevin Bertloff officiating.

Interment will be at St. Peter of the Fields Cemetery.
