Wendy Marie (Ruark) Smith

Wendy Marie Smith, 41, passed away May 5, 2016.  Born in Barberton, she lived most of her life in Akron.

Wendy was involved in the ROTC and Girl Scouts of America. She was a band mother for Ellet High School.

She was preceded in death by her father, Dale Ruark; and grandfather, Lewis B. Roberts.

Wendy is survived by her husband, Joseph; daughter, Mellissa; son, Tyler; granddaughter, Sophia; mother, Phyllis Roberts; grandmother, Helen Roberts all of Akron; sisters, Andrea (Joseph) Tose of Columbus, Kathryn (Frank) Oliver of Wellington; brother, Matthew Ruark of Akron; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (on the Historic Tallmadge Circle).

Funeral Service will be at 2:00 p.m. following visitation at the funeral home with Pastor Sean Cannon officiating.
