William R. Bartlett

William R. Bartlett, 87, passed away August 17, 2015.

Born in Bridgeport, West Virginia, William had lived most of his life in the Tallmadge area.  He served in the U.S. Navy and was a graduate of Wooster College.  William retired in 1983 from B.F. Goodrich with 34 years of service, where he was Vice President of Sales and Marketing Industrial Division. He was a member of First Congregational Church of Tallmadge and volunteered for the American Red Cross.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Coletta.

William is survived by his daughter, Laura (Mike) Walters of California; sons, David (Yvonne) Bartlett of Kent and Kenneth Bartlett and partner Eric Tung of California; grandson, Kyle Bartlett-Tung.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, August 21, 2015 at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 2569 Romig Rd., Akron with Rev. Dr. John Schleup officiating, where military rites will be conducted by Firestone VFW Post 3383.
