William “Billy” Frank Pickering II, 45, passed away October 20, 2026. Born in Akron, he lived the majority of his life in Mogadore.

Billy worked as a Glazier with Union Local 1162 and had a passion for Landscaping for many years. He had a love for his community and took pride in volunteering in various ways, from running the youth football program to coaching multiple football and baseball teams. He made sure that each child was treated as his own. He especially loved watching his own children play sports and took great joy in cheering them on from the sidelines. Billy played in several softball leagues, enjoyed cooking, was an avid Ohio State Fan (and an IU fan once a year). Above all, he loved his family and friends fiercely.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Brenda Pickering and sister, Brenda.

Billy is survived by his wife, Chauna; sons, Rylee, Kruze; daughter, Parker; brothers, George (Lori), Robert (Ashley); nephews, George III, Hunter, Mason, Mitchell, Colton, Owen, Zachary, and Hudson; nieces, Emma, Grace and Raquel; sisters in law, Macy (Dan), Tori (Mike); brother in law, Mateo; as well as numerous cousins who were more like siblings, and an abundance of extended family and friends.

Billy was the life of the party, he lit up any room he walked in, was always ready to make someone laugh, and never knew a stranger. He will be missed deeply by all and continue to live on in the stories and memories shared.

Visitation will be Monday, October 26 from 4-7 pm at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle).

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 14. Further details will be shared in the coming days.
