William H. (Bill) Hollenbach, 77, passed away peacefully on August 15th, 2026. Born to Lillian E. and Carl W. Hollenbach in Reading, Pennsylvania, he graduated from Firestone High School in 1967 and attended Akron University where he studied Art. He moved to Albuquerque New Mexico where he retired from ABF before moving to Cuyahoga Falls 3 years ago.
He is survived by his children, Jeni (Matthew) Lewis, Samantha Bice, and William Hollenbach; his granddaughter Caela; great-grandson Tanner; his sisters, Anita (Bob) Meehan, Ginger (Ted) Chester, Beth (Mike) Louis, Jill (John) Henry, and chosen brother, Karl Wellendorf; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Bill was an amazing artist, specializing in graphite and pen and ink drawings, as well as wood and stone sculpting, but was most known for his metal work. He was a lover of nature, taking any chance he had to go hiking or camping in the mountains of New Mexico and Ohio, collecting heart rocks and four-leaf clovers. His sense of humor was unmatched, filling the room with laughter and eye rolls. He loved to entertain, and did what he could to put a smile on the face of others. Bill was loved by many, and will be forever missed.
Thank you to the nurses and physicians at Cleveland Clinic Akron General for their supportive and compassionate care.
If desired, a donation can be made in Bill's honor to the charity of your choice.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
