William W Modzelewski

William W. Modzelewski, 85, went home to be with the Lord on June 12, 2017.

William was born in Akron and lived in the Tallmadge area since 1974.  He retired in 1994 from the East Ohio Gas Company with 40 years of service.  William was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church, and  had been an active member of St Hedwig, and the Prayer Group of the Holy Spirit in Hudson.  He enjoyed collecting rocks, artwork, polish traditions, and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years in 2002, Helen;

William is survived by his sons, Gregory W. of Akron, Timothy F.  and, Casimir S. (Carol Roland) both of Tallmadge; daughters, Angeline S. (Mark E.) Priebe of North Ridgeville, Regina H. (David) Christovich of Virginia., Danuta A. of Tallmadge, Alina M. (Brian S.) Richmond of Atwater;  grandchildren, Krystle, Daniel, Dennis, Derek, Collin, Andrew, Anna, David, Kaitlyn, Emily, and Jacob; great grandchildren, Ryan, Cecilia, and David, Jr.; sister, Helen Crawford of McDonald, PA; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

William lovingly raised seven children.  He will always live in our hearts and will be remembered for his strength, his beautiful heart, his giving ways, and his kindness.  He devoted his life to his wife, children, and grandchildren.

Visitation will be 4 until 8 p.m. Friday, June 16, 2017 at Donovan Bagnoli Funeral Home, 339 Southwest Ave. Tallmadge and 9 until 10 a.m. Saturday June 17, 2017 at the funeral home.

Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Our Lady of Victory Church, 73 North Ave, Tallmadge with Fr. Michael Matusz officiating.

Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery.
