Andreas L. Bellios, 54, passed away September 12, 2023.
Born May 18th, 1969 in Akron, Ohio, Andy lived most of his life in the Brimfield area, graduating from Field High School, class of 1987.
Music was Andy's life. Playing the drums at the age of 2, Andy would later become a singer, songwriter and drummer for the band groups Aria, Equals 4 and Turner Up. He was a World National Champion drummer and loved photography. Andy was a mentor and drum instructor to numerous students in the Chapparells Baton & Drum Corp for over 20 years. Andy was a member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church where he was an altar boy, member of the Greek dance group and GOYA. Most importantly he was the best big brother to Angela and Athina as well as the most loving and doting uncle to his niece, Marianna.
Preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Andreas and Angeliki Bellios; maternal grandparents, Lester and Mary Jane Duncan; numerous aunts and uncles.
Survived by his parents, Christos and Janet Bellios; sisters, Angela Bellios, Athina (Brett) Mansdorf; niece, Marianna Mansdorf, all of Brimfield; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He is also survived by his most dedicated friends, Mark, Kevin, Chucky and Nicole; also, Emma, who he loved like a daughter.
Visitation will be 1:00 until 4:00 p.m., Sunday, September 17, 20 23 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle) with a Trisagon service at 1:30 p.m.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 18, 2023 at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 129 S. Union St, Akron with Fr. Dean Kokanos officiating.
Interment will be at Mt. Peace Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church Building Fund, AHEPA Scholarship Organization and Fr. Bartz Camp Nazareth.
