Angelina L. Chiera

Angelina L. Chiera, 91, passed away February 22, 2021.

Born in Marina di Gioiosa Reggio Calabria, Italy, Angelina had lived in the Akron/Tallmadge area for most of her life.  She was retired from the M. O’Neil Company and was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church and Immaculate Heart of Mary for the past four years.  She enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, and she was great at cooking and canning.  Angelina loved gardening, sewing, walking and was an avid reader.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dominic; sons, James and Anthony Cheira; sister, Rosina (Salvatore) Pugliese and son in law, John Cross.

Angelina is survived by her daughters, Susanne Cross of Uniontown, Linda Chiera of Tallmadge; sons, John (Eileen) Chiera of Akron, Dominic (Margaret) Chiera of Brimfield; daughter in law, Ann Chiera of Medina; grandchildren, Jonas Chiera, Tom (Suzi) Chiera, Andrew (Martha) Chiera, Jamie (Alex) Griffith, Joe (Kristen) Chiera, Theresa (Jeff) Heinl, Vince (Lydnsey) Chiera, Chris Chiera, Ryan Chiera, Gina (Andy) Dain, Dominic (Claire) Cross.; great grandchildren, Owen, Adelynn, Charlotte, Ariana, Lucas, Julian, Lucia, Priscilla, Carmella, Kaitlyn, James, Giana, Emily, Joey, and Jonathon; sister, Lina (Attilio) Pugliese.

Visitation will be 5 until 7 p.m. Friday, February 26, 2021 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle), where the Rosary will be said at 6:30.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 1 p.m. Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Immaculate Heart of Mary,1905 Portage Trail., Cuyahoga Falls with Father Ralph Thomas officiating.

Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery.
