Carol Charnas, 78, passed away on November 2, 2021 at home where she was lovingly cared for by her husband, Gus, while she battled Alzheimer’s.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Verba (Boggs) and Joe Rodriguez; son, Daniel Charnas, and sister-in-law, Elizabeth Charnas.
Carol is survived by her husband, Gus; daughter, Connie (Scott) Harget and two granddaughters, Rachel Harget and Gabrielle Harget.
She was a devoted wife, wonderful mom, and loving YiaYia. Carol and Gus attended Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Akron. Her family would like to thank the neighbors who have been very supportive during the family’s time of need. They would also like to thank the Kindred Hospice Care team that helped care for Carol with much compassion, allowing her to stay at home with her husband of 55 years.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. Saturday, November 6, 2021 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle).
Funeral service to follow at 12 p.m. at the funeral home with Father Jerry Hall Officiating.
Interment will take place at East Akron Cemetery.
