Carol (Stewart) Myers

Carol Myers, 80, passed away January 8, 2021 after a courageous 15 year battle with Lung Cancer. Born in Akron, she lived most of her life in the Akron and Tallmadge area.

Carol began her career at Acme, where she met her husband Gary. She also was an office manager for Dr. Charles Bowen, Dr. McInnis and then retiring at Dr. Ruzics and Hall in 1998. She loved to spend time with her family and watching her grandsons in their 4-H and sports activities.

She was preceded in death by her son, G. Douglas; parents, Burton and Gladys Stewart; in-laws, Si and Edna Myers; sister, Janice Rovan; brother, James Stewart.

Carol is survived by her husband of 62 years, Gary; daughter, Susan (Rick) Kisamore; grandsons, Doug (Corey), Mitch; brother, John (Trina) Stewart; brothers in law, Albin Rovan; brother and sister in law, Frank and Shirley Myers; the boss of the family, her dog, Maggie; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be 11:00 until 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle).

Funeral service will follow visitation at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Interment will be at Rose Hill Burial Park.
