Cheryl Bryant Obituary

Cheryl Karlen Bryant, age 64 of Tallmadge, Ohio passed away on October 24, 2021 at home where she was lovingly cared for by her husband, Chuck Bryant for the past 10 years.

She was born to Jay and Beverly Karlen in Alliance, Ohio where she attended and was confirmed at Science Hill UCC. Cheryl was a 1975 graduate of Marlington High School where she was active in sports.

Cheryl was active in 4H and that may be where she developed her love for animals. She loved cats, loved to feed the deer, geese, and any other creature that came in her back yard.

She followed in her Dad’s footsteps in the lumber business working for The Clem Lumber and Distributing Company. She later built her own house and lived in the Massillon area and went to work for Iron City Sash and Door.

Cheryl enjoyed watching her step grandchildren when they were younger, followed the Penn State football team. She was involved for many years, and was a founding member of Charity 6 which is a local charity helping in many needs in the local community. She loved to golf and give back to the community.

Survivors include her husband, Chuck Bryant whom she married in August of 1999; her mother of Alliance, Beverly Karlen; sister, Charlene [Ray] Boyce; brothers, Charles of South Carolina and Gary [Bonnie] of Minerva. She is also survived by step-children, Staci [Philip} Ross of Stow, Ohio, Jason [Jenny] Bryant of Brimfield, Ohio, Chad [Bethany]Bryant of Twinsburg, Ohio, and 9 step-grandchildren, and 6 nieces and nephews.

Cheryl was proceeded in death by her father, Jay Karlen; a sister-in-law, Jackie Karlen and sister-in-law Betsey Bryant.

Cheryl was wonderfully cared for by Laura Congrove and Kim Wells who became more than health aids and a host of nurses and hospice workers that made this difficult time more bearable for all.
