David M. Wuest, 55, passed away at home on January 28, 2021. Born in Akron, he grew up in Australia until age of 12, when his family relocated to Fairlawn.
David received a Bachelors degree from Ohio State in Electrical Engineering and then received a Bachelors degree from the University of Akron in Computer Science. David was self-employed as an IT Consultant for much of his career. He was a member at Liberty Valley Church in Macedonia. It was important to David to go to church with his family and grow in his faith. He enjoyed motorcycles, cars, going to the parks on family walks, and spending time outdoors. David loved spending time with his wife and children. He had a amazing sense of humor.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hank and Mary Wuest.
David is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; sons, Christopher and Daniel; sister, Catherine (Patrick) Lyons; niece, Clare Lyons; Elaine Pratt; birth mom; his favorite cat, Black Kitty and many other family and friends.
The family is thankful for Cunliffe Stevens and Debbie Myers for their loving caregiving to David over the past five years. The family is also grateful to Transitions Hospice for their support over the past several months.
Visitation will be 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. Sunday, January 31, 2021 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle).
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 1, 2021 at the funeral home with Pastor Jeff Tauring officiating.
Interment will be at Palmyra West Cemetery.
An expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to Summit Christian School 3313 Northhampton Road, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44223. It was essential to David for his children to attend a school that focused on God, and donations support the school's mission to teach the Bible.
