Diann Carol Vogliano, 70, passed away September 12, 2023.
Originally from Evansville, Indiana, Diann spent the majority of her life in Tallmadge, Ohio. She proudly graduated from Ball State (BA in Special and Deaf Ed), then Kent State University (Masters in Education). Diann fulfilled her career as a national board certified Special Ed teacher with Kent City Schools.
In her post-retirement years, Diann took on various meaningful roles in her community. She dedicated her time as the president of Northeast Neighbors Garden Club, became a certified dog groomer, and generously volunteered with the adult literacy program, Project Learn.
She created her fondest memories traveling with her family, whether tasting wine in the hills of Italy, experimenting with new foods in Thailand, hiking with her son (Chris) in New Zealand, and riding bikes on the beaches of Kiawah Island, SC. When she wasn’t reading one of her favorite books, she was doing crafts, spending time with her grandkids, outside gardening, walking, kayaking, spending time in upper Michigan, or snowshoeing and skiing. We will always remember Diann for her love of Skyline Chili, espresso martinis, and a good shopping bargain.
Many will remember Diann as one of a kind, intelligent, kind at heart, selfless, adventurous, never showed up empty handed, always motivated by helping others, and one tough woman. Her legacy will live on in our hearts forever.
She was preceded in death by her father, Donald and sister, Donna Meyer.
Diann is survived by her husband, Rob; sons, Mark (Jaclyn) Vogliano and Chris Vogliano; grandchildren, Carson and Isla Vogliano; sister, Karen (Pat) Wright.
