Earl D. Baker, 94, passed away December 24, 2020.
Born in Akron, Earl had lived in the Tallmadge area all of his life. He served in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II as a ball turret gunner. During World War II he was an instructor for the jump school. Earl taught body and fender and worked as a body man for a short time after World War II. He was a member of Springfield Assembly of God. He loved God and ministry was very important to him, he taught Sunday School for over 40 years. Earl worked for Goodyear Aerospace and Wingfoot and was a pipe designer for NRM. He helped start Camos Inc. He was an active counselor in the 700 Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl S. and Anna Baker; daughter, Elaine Severns.
Earl is survived by his wife of 70 years, Esther; children, David (Susan) Baker of Floral City, FL, Herbert (Barbara) Baker of Tallmadge, Earl Donald (Jan) Baker of Holden Beach, NC, Margaret (Ray) Wright of Madera, CA, Kenneth (Chrissy) Baker of Reynoldsville, PA, Julie Kuss of Tallmadge; 25 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and sister, Ellen Hughes of Tallmadge.
A Private Service will be held at the convenience of the family.
