Galena Francis Seeker

Galena Seeker, 82, passed away October 11, 2023.

Born in Irvine, Kentucky, Galena lived in the Tallmadge area for most of her life. A 1959 graduate of Akron North High School, Galena retired in 1999 from Tallmadge City Schools, where she was a dedicated school bus driver for 31 years. Galena was selfless and had a love for serving others. From fixing ball gloves to washing uniforms, Galena loved and cherished her time spent as "team mom" for Tallmadge athletic teams. She also had a love for animals from dogs, cats, raccoons to her beloved trained squirrel "Babe".

Preceded in death by her sisters, Carol Norman, Inez Smith and Dolores McConnaughey,

Galena is survived by her husband of 64 years, Harold; sons, Donald (Tracy) Seeker, Jonathon (Cindy) Seeker, and Ronald (Jeanna) Seeker; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; brother, William J. (Toni) Norman, Jr.; brother-in-law, Charles Smith. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and mother-in-law who will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday, October 14, 2023 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle).

Funeral Service to follow at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Interment will be at Tallmadge Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Danbury Senior Living, 73 East Avenue Tallmadge, OH 44278.
