Gary Edwards

Gary Edwards, 67, passed with his family by his side on November 9, 2023.

Born in Akron, he graduated from Tallmadge High School and lived most of his life as a proud Tallmadge resident. Early in life Gary built tires at Mohawk. He then worked at Acme Click, where he met his wife, Kim. He retired from Home Depot working as a receiving manager.

His greatest accomplishment was his family. Gary loved spending time and building memories with them. He had a great love and passion for music. He collected vinyl records and music memorabilia. Gary had many great adventures and stories to share from time spent with his music buddies. Gary enjoyed attending concerts and being involved with “Rockin’ on the River”. He was fond of vacationing to a variety of Florida beaches.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Jacqueline Edwards; dog, Penelopee the Pug.

Gary is survived by his wife of 34 years, Kim; daughters, Tonya (Todd) Lucas, Courtney (Wes) Fuller; grandchildren, Allyson Lucas and Isaac Fuller; beloved Pug, Ralph.

A special thank you for the care, compassion and love received from his nurse Gina and Chaplin Terry during his final days.

Visitation will be 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 17, 2023 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle).

Memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at the funeral home with Chaplain Terry Arnold officiating.
