Jack L. Sarver

Jack Lewis Sarver, 78, passed away March 7, 2022. Born in Akron, he lived the past 27 years in Tallmadge.

Jack retired as CEO of TeleCommunity Credit Union with over 40 years service. He was a member of Grace Episcopal Church in Ravenna. Jack was an avid marathon runner and carried the Olympic Torch in 1984. He was also a scout leader, soccer coach, baseball coach and a state park camp host. Jack was a member of Tallmadge City Council, Portage Lakes Kiwanas, Knights of Columbus, Moose Club, Zeppelin Rifle Club and Quarter Midget Racing of America.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Karl Sarver and Ruth Palmer; sister, Carole Mae Sarver.

Jack is survived by his wife, Joanne; children, Jeff Sarver of Los Angeles, Jodi Chumita of Akron, Jacob Sarver of Atlanta; step children, Sherrill Shaffer of Ravenna, Sheila Metzner of Akron, Lynanne (Ben) Kauffman of Streetsboro; sister, Sandra Mills of Clinton; brother, Karl (JoAnn) Sarver of Canton; grandchildren, Chloe Sarver, Dennis Chumita III, Alex Shafer, Marc Shaffer, Sydney Fortner, Adelaide Fortner, Luke Kauffman, Madelyn Kauffman; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 11, 2022 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle).

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 12, 2022 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle).

Interment will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 10501 Euclid Ave. Cleveland OH 44106.
