Obituary
James Joseph Popio, 84, passed away August 29, 2023. Born in Youngstown, he lived most of his life in Tallmadge.
James served in the U.S. Marine Reserves and retired after 35 years as the owner of Klear Kopy. He was an avid golfer and cigar aficionado. James enjoyed playing cards, having his morning coffee with friends and was a member of Mogadore VFW. He was also an avid listener of Frank Sinatra.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Veronica Popio.
James is survived by his wife of 58 years, Margie; son, James (Rebecca) Popio; daughter, Christina (Ernest) Knight; brothers, Joseph, William, Peter; sister, Veronica; grandchildren, Jacob (Victoria), Emily, Nathan, Ava, Zachary; many nieces, nephews and friends.
Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 16, 2023 at Advent Lutheran Church, 1516 Edison St. NW, Uniontown OH, 44685 with Pastor Bob Cheyney officiating.
Interment was held at Tallmadge Cemetery on September 1, 2023.
