Obituary

Jerry Edward Feeman, 66, passed away May 8th, 2022 surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Akron, Jerry lived in the Tallmadge area most of his life.  He was a graduate of Ellet High School, Class of 1974. Jerry was a long time Relator/Appraiser and served on many different boards.  He was a member of Tallmadge Lutheran Church, Past President of Tallmadge City Council, Current District 6 Summit County Councilman. He was also a member of the Akron Zoo Board, Tallmadge Chamber of Commerce and Past President of Tallmadge Little League. Jerry held many other board/chair positions throughout his time as a public servant.

Dad was a firm believer that you should always give back to your community. Even after all of us kids were out of the Little League program dad still continued to participate and be president of Tallmadge Little League. We were all so thankful Dad was able to coach or be a part of all our sporting teams growing up. Dad was always happy to see his grandson’s games and was excited to see many more grandchildren grow up. If we ever had any problems or issues Dad always had a solution and a phone number of someone who could help. What made Dad the man he was that even if you weren’t family, he would still go through hell or high waters to do anything he could to help.

Dad was always a family man. He would spend countless hours attending practices and games even if that meant he would be up until midnight finishing his work. No matter what function or event, Dad knew everyone in the room and made sure to talk to everyone there before he left. Dad always loved spending his Sundays watching the Browns surrounded by family and listening to Mom yell at the TV. Even with all of his accomplishments he was most proud of being a Husband, Father and Papa.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, James and Ruth Feeman; brother, Jeff Feeman; sister in law, Allyne Brumbaugh; mother and father in law, Emma Jean and Malvern Brumbaugh, Helena and Alvino Stump.
Jerry is survived by his wife Janet of 42 years; daughter, Emily (Sean) Cooper of Akron; sons, Josh (Katie) Feeman of Suffield, Ben (Emmy Jenior) Feeman of Akron; grandson, Bryce Allen Feeman; brother, James (Debbie) Feeman of Green; sister in law, Maryellen Feeman of Chicago; brother in Law, James (Beth) Brumbaugh of Sarasota; sister in law, Joyce Corbett, Diane Stump, and Pam (Ralph) Huhn; His beloved Fur buddy, Riley.
