Jesse Ball, Jr.

Jesse Ball, Jr., 79, passed away March 14, 2023. Born in Branchland, West Virginia, he lived in Ravenna most of his life.

Jesse was a press operator at Chrysler and owner of Ball’s Autobody for over 40 years.  He was a member of The Fountain Church of Garrettsville, OH. Jesse was a black belt martial arts professional, enjoyed working on cars, shooting guns, playing music, drinking his coffee on the front porch and joking around. He loved spending time with his wife, his family, and loved to travel.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Dorothy Ball, Sr.; sisters, Jean Parsons, Betty Jo Nance; brothers, Tommy Ball and Bobby Jobe.

Jesse is survived by his wife, Janice; daughter, Tina (Ed) Shaver; sons, Keith (Toni) Ball, Mike (Regina) Ball, Timmy Ball, Darian Ball; sisters, Freda Godfrey, Becky Johnson; brothers, Billy Ball, Mark Ball, Randy Adkins; grandchildren, Christopher Ball, Carrissa Congrove, Matthew Shaver, Aaron Shaver, Cheyanne Shaver, Briar Ball, Adam Ball; great grandchildren, Riley, Maddox, Barret, Kyndell, Zeke, Avery, Layna, Lincoln, and Landon; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be 11:00 until 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 17, 2023 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle).

Funeral service will follow visitation at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Kevin Crouch officiating.

Interment will be at Homeland Cemetery.
