Jim Owens

Jim Owens, 90, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2023. Jim was born on August 27, 1932 to William and Josephine Owens.

Jim met his wife, Carole, when they were both teenagers. They were married for 65 years, raising 5 sons along the way. He worked at Carter Jones for 42 years after serving his country in the Army. He loved his job and met a lot of close friends there. Jim loved Mogadore Wildcats sports, he was a member of the football chain gang for 27 years. He was also a member of the Mogadore Lions Club and participated in golf and bowling leagues for many years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Josephine Owens; brother, Bill (Geri) Owens; and daughter-in-law, Cindy.

He is survived by his wife, Carole; children, John (Connie), Bob (Julie), Jim (Tracey), Rick, and Jerry (Cindy); 13 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and many friends.

Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M., Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Donovan Funeral Home - Mogadore, 34 S Cleveland Ave, Mogadore, OH 44260.

Funeral service will follow visitation at 11:00 A.M. with Ed Fabian officiating.

Interment will be at Hillside Memorial Park
