John W. “Jack” Hufnagel, 74, passed away February 4, 2021. Born in Sharon, Pennsylvania, he lived in Akron most of his life.
Jack served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Vietnam. He retired as an Electrical Contractor with JWH Electric, LLC. He was an avid euchre player. Jack enjoyed going to auctions, watching Penn State football and all Cleveland sports. He was also a member of the VFW Post #3383.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and LaVerne Hufnagel.
Jack is survived by his wife of 28 years, Pauline; children, Amy (Jay) Kelso of Peachtree City, GA, Brian Hufnagel of Charleston, SC, Sara (Ryan) Bell of Rockland, PA; grandchildren, Lauren, Rachel, Hayden, Mason, Carter, Alexa; great grandchildren, Farryn and Freya; sister, Joan Fitzgerald (Robert Kuttner); brothers, Thomas and Gary Hufnagel; niece, Shelly (Vincent) Lorenzo.
Visitation will be 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Donovan Funeral Home, 17Southwest Ave., Tallmadge with a funeral service to follow at 6:00 p.m. with Rev. Jim Case officiating.
Interment will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
