Joyce D (Arbuthnot) Brant

BRIMFIELD – Joyce D. Brant, 83, passed away October 2, 2022.

Born in Akron, Joyce lived and raised her family in Brimfield for most of her life. She taught elementary school at Dunbar and Monroe Elementary Schools for 38 years, before retiring in 2001. She enjoyed shopping, decorating, watching Ohio sports and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 48 years, Walter E. Brant; son, Michael W. Brant; baby daughter; and great grandson, Kaiden.

She is survived by sons, Bob (Vicki) Brant of Brimfield and Jim (Lynn) Brant of Loveland, Ohio; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Friday, October 7, 2022 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Avenue (on the Historic Tallmadge Circle).

Funeral service will follow visitation at the funeral home with Rev. Skip Myers officiating.

Burial will be at Grandview Cemetery.
