The most amazing women left this earth on August 17, 2023. Joyce Lynn Eggers left us to join her Lord Savior, Jesus Christ. Our hearts soar for her, but her loss is immeasurable. She was born and lived all her life in the Akron area.
Joyce Lynn Eggers (Cool) was born on March 22, 1956 to Ken and Gerry Cool. She came home to a big sister, Cheryl to complete their family.
Joyce lived a life full of loving and serving others. She was truly the hands and feet of her loving Savior. Whether she was dancing to the Supreme’s with her cousins, Pam (Yost), Janae (Caniglia), and Leanne (Beavers) or sharing long distance conversations with her soul sister, Angela (Clark). When you were with her, you were the focus of that love.
Joyce was more than a mom to her beautiful daughters, she was a true and faithful friend. She taught them faith, grace, laughter, and joy. When she became a Grammy, she realized the role she was born to fulfill. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She loved celebrating their accomplishments, spending time with them, and teaching them the value of a good thrift store.
Later in her life, Joyce found an unexpected love story with a dear friend when she married Jack Eggers on Valentine’s Day, 2014. Together they traveled near and far, created a home and loved a pup named Mr. Boots. They brought out the best in each other. They loved each other more everyday, growing and healing together. It was so beautiful to watch them interact. She would always say “I’m going with ”my guy” or I’ll check with “my guy” when she was talking about Jack. They have been truly blessed, sharing the past 9 ½ years together, living life, growing together and loving well. She will truly be missed by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Geraldine Cool.
Joyce leaves behind her husband, Jack Eggers, father, Ken Cool, sister, Cheryl Ward, beautiful daughters Tammy (Jay) Buser and Becky Lawless, their father, Bob Clark, grandchildren, Zeke and Ava Lawless, Olivia, Jackson and Audrey Buser, Sister’s-in-law, Carolyn Eggers, Pamela Eggers, and Angela Clark, Brother-in-law, Richard Eggers and a host of other friends and family.
