Leonard R. Palmer, Jr., 68, passed away May 8, 2018 with his family by his side. Born in Akron, he lived the last 40 years of his life in Tallmadge.
Leonard served in the Marines and the National Guard. He was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church and was the owner of Palmer Products. He was on the Board of Directors at the MAPS Air Museum, Crew Chief of the BT13 Restoration Team at MAPS and was an Eagle Scout.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Dolly Palmer; sister, Diana Alfama.
Leonard is survived by his wife, Marianne; daughter, Deborah (Trent) Stanley of Green; sons, Leonard (Tara) Palmer of Green, Greg (Mandy) Palmer of Akron; grandchildren, Bailey Palmer, Colin Palmer, Reese Stanley, Riley Stanley.
Visitation will be 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Friday, May 11, 2018 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (on the Historic Tallmadge Circle).
Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Our Lady of Victory Church, 73 North Ave., Tallmadge with Rev. Michael Matusz officiating. MEET AT THE CHURCH.
