Louis Romine, born October 17, 1932, journeyed to his eternal home singing praises on the way to his Savior/Deliverer, Provider, Jesus Christ, the Lord and to be together again with the love of his life, his wife of 42 years, Donna Lee Kelley Romine. He also joined the rest of his earthly family: his son, Evangelist Pastor Stephen; mother, Virginia; father, Robert; brothers, Robert Jr., Eugene, Freer, Ronald, Robert, and Donald; many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Louis is survived by his son, Mark of Akron; daughter, Joy Romine (John Engelmann) of Oklahoma; grandchildren, James and Stephanie Romine, Donny Romine, Donna Leigh Evans (Jesse), Samantha Lewis; great grandchild, Jessi Evans; daughter in law, Ginny Methvin; special niece, Beth Diefendorf; special nephew, Todd Romine; and many other nieces, nephews and friends.
Louis served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Crisis (1951-1955). He was married in 1954, in Akron and in 1966, because of Donna’s health issues, moved his family to Arizona, where he resided until moving back to the Akron area in 2007 with his son, Mark.
Interment will be at the Phoenix Memorial Park in Arizona.
