Louis "Buzz" Zimmerman

On the morning of September 17, 2022 Louis "Buzz" Zimmerman passed peacefully from this life near the end of his 90th year.

Buzz was a graduate of Flint North High School in Flint, Michigan before serving 2 years in the Army during the Korean War. After his discharge he continued his education and graduated from Central Michigan College with a Bachelor's Degree in Business.

He then worked for Goodyear in Jackson, Michigan before being transferred to Akron, Ohio in 1984 finishing out his career.

While in the Akron area he was very involved with the Elks of Cuyahoga Falls.

Holding almost every position in the club. And he was a member of the Emerald Necklace MG Club for many years driving his MG all around the area. He also enjoyed golfing and bowling.

Preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Myrtle (Garberick) Zimmerman and his wife, Virginia (Starr).

He is survived by his daughter, D (Bob) Zimmerman; granddaughter, Samantha (Jason) Manion; and great grandchildren, Jada, Cooper, and Zoe Manion.

A private family service has taken place.
