Lynn D Carr

Lynn D. Carr, 81, passed away April 8, 2022. Born in Akron, Lynn and his wife Judy provided a loving family home for over 40 years. He retired as a diesel mechanic from Galehouse Construction after 30 years of service. He had tremendous skill in woodworking and enjoyed dogs, cars, fishing in Canada, trips to Hershey Pennsylvania, and telling wonderful stories.

Lynn’s mechanical knowledge, love and kindness were valued by many, especially his children and grandchildren. He was always there to help engineer a solution and lend a helping hand. Lynn and Judy leave a special legacy for opening their home to support and care for many of their grandchildren all of whom benefited from their love and generosity. 

Lynn was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Edna Carr.

He is survived by daughters, Deborah Armocida and Linda Russell (Scott); son, Jim Carr (Stephony); Sister Lois Haught (Roy) and Brother Alan Carr (Jane); niece Laura Martin and sister-in-law Linda Wilson (Dave); grandchildren Claudia Finley (Tim), Virginia Johnson (Kevin), Rudy Armocida (fiance Kait) and Georgia Schifer (Nick); Tabatha Russell and Taylor Russell; Anthony Carr and Nicholas Carr.

A memorial service will be held at 6 P.M., Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle).

The family will greet guests one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Donations may be made to your local Humane Society or One of a Kind Pet Rescue in lieu of flowers.
