Paul Arvin, age 82, of Ravenna, Ohio passed away peacefully at home in his sleep on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, after a short battle with cancer. He is a graduate of St. Vincent High School in Akron and the University of Akron, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1961. He ended his career in Ravenna, where he and Mary retired.
A member of Immaculate Conception Parish in Ravenna, he was a devout and active Catholic throughout his life. Paul was also an avid golfer and served as secretary for the Post 281 Seniors Golf League during his retirement. He loved fishing and spending weekends at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington. However, his greatest love was found with Mary, with whom he celebrated 60 years of marriage last summer, his daughters, and their families.
Paul is survived by Mary; daughters, Julie (Keith) Johnson of Galena, Linda (Tom) Caldwell of Altamonte Springs, FL, and Susan Arvin of Euclid; grandchildren, Molly, Zachary, and Annie Johnson, Jacob and Katie Caldwell, and Brianna, Markus, Ciera, and Caleb (Kait) West; sister, Mary Lemon of Mogadore; brother, William of Corpus Christi, TX; and host of nieces, nephews, sisters- and brothers-in-law, and friends.
