Ronald Gary Stanfield

Ronald G. Stanfield, 83, passed away December 30, 2020 surrounded peacefully by family. Born in Elyria, he lived most of his life in Atwater before moving to Cuyahoga Falls.

He attended Elyria High School before entering the military to serve 1954-1958 in the U.S. Air Force during the Cold War and Korea War serving in Germany as a Maintenance Supervisor.  Ron was owner of Stanfield Appliance Sales and Service in Atwater, and a member of Liberty Bible Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Stanfield and Gladys Stanfield-Gillespi and sister, Barbara Nichols-Davis.

Ron is survived by his wife, Emma; brother, John F. Stanfield (Janice); sisters, Donna J. Collins (Everett); children, Debora Ritz (Lanny), Sharon Stanfield, Gary Stanfield (Anita), Timothy Stanfield (Barbara); 8 grandchildren, Erin Stanfield, Christina Stanfield-Reilly (Sean), Joseph Ritz, James Ritz (Samantha Booth), Luke Fair, Hannah Fair, Joshua Stanfield and Emily Stanfield; 3 great grandchildren, Galen Reilly, Tali Reilly, and Ronan Reilly; and many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. Special thanks to Kaylee, Tara and Lisa for the care they provided over the years.

Please join us for an Open House and Celebration of Life for Ron Stanfield.  The gathering of family and friends will be held on September 25, 2021, 2-5pm at Liberty Bible Church, Fellowship Hall, Atwater, Ohio. Please come share with family and friends your memories of Ron.  Family requests that masks be worn and bring lawn chair to sit out side weather permitting.
