Stanley E. Powell, Jr., 85, passed away unexpectedly May 12, 2018.
Stanley was born in Warfordsburg, Pennsylvania, but had lived in the Akron area for most of his life. He was a truck driver with Kenmore Construction and Betsy Ross Foods for over 30 years. After retiring, he worked at Pressler Meats. Stanley was a member of the Army/Navy Club. Stanley was a generous and caring family man. He enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening and time with his wife, children and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Stanley E. and Willowim Powell, Sr., brother, Leonard Powell, daughter-in-law, Patty Powell, son-in-law, Stan Cutright and grandsons, Aaron Cutright and William and Kenny Harms.
Stanley is survived by his wife of 65 years, Darlene “Dee”; daughters, Rena Cutright, Sharon (Tom) Harms-Letzler all of Akron, and Brenda (Mike) Black of Uniontown; son, Stanley “Ed” Powell of Akron; grandchildren, Angela, Michael, and Jacob Black and Chris and Megan Powell. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends and relatives.
Private Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
