Obituary

William L. Haufe, 93, passed away May 21, 2023.

Born in Wheeling, West Virginia, William lived most of his life in the Akron area and had lived in Tallmadge since 1972.  He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Akron.  He was retired from the RCA Rubber Company.

Mr. Haufe was preceded in death by his wife, Elinor Haufe; daughter, Karen Queen; infant son, William Gerald Haufe; and brother, Richard Haufe.

William is survived by his daughter, Gayle (Gary) Gallupe of Richfield; son, Christopher (Lisa) Haufe of Stow; son-in-law, Johnny Queen of West Virginia; sister, Rebecca Mitchell of New Philadelphia grandchildren, Megan (Justin) Queen of Rockport, West Virginia, Kimberly (Danny) Ford of Seminole, Florida, Matthew Queen of Parkersburg, West Virginia, Haley Queen of Washington, West Virginia, Malinda (Jerry) Stratos of Mogadore, Nathaniel Haufe of Stow; and nine great grandchildren.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (On the Historical Tallmadge Circle).

Funeral Service to follow at 12 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Jim Case officiating.

Interment will take place at Crown Hill Cemetery.
