William "Bill" Pickering Obituary

William “Bill” F. Pickering, 72, passed away December 28, 2020.

Born in Worcester, MA, Bill had lived in Mogadore for 60 years.  He retired in 2003 from Yellow Freight with 34 years of service.  Bill loved cooking for his family, friends and his doting wife of way too many years.    He was the neighborhood whiffle ball coach and local animal feeder.  Bill enjoyed watching the kids play sports and Ohio State.

He was preceded in death by his mom, Marie Pickering, dad, Frank Pickering, and daughter, Brenda.

Bill is survived by his wife of 39 years, Brenda; children, George (Lori) Long, Billy (Chauna) Pickering, Robert (Ashley) Pickering; peepaw to grandchildren, George III, Hunter, Mason, Mitchell, Rylee, Emma, Kruze, Grace, Parker, and Colton; sister, Lois Atterholt and Pixie (Tom) Prock; brother, Mark (Barbara) Pickering; and many special nieces and nephews especially “Lula Bell”  best friend of 57 years, Crazy Linda Meier; and dogs, Oscar and Buckeye.

Visitation will be 4 until 7 p.m. Monday, January 4, 2021 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle).

Graveside Service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at Restland Cemetery.
