I knew Roger from our years at Miami University. Roger was in the class of 1956 and I(and my wife)was in the class of 1957. Roger was a physical speciimen l16like none other, and he was quite possibly the best interior lineman ever to play at Miami. He should be in the Miami Athletic Hall of Fame. He also conducted himself as a gentleman.

There are some people throughout each person's life that influence us in a particular way, or that have that certain something, that makes one always remember a person fondly regardless of the years that pass. Roger-Coach Siesel was just such a man. Dan and I both remember him fondly for many reasons-the quiet under the breath remarks of instruction in passing-the drive and determination he instilled in his students-the fun he helped kids at school have. There have been many times over the past 38 years we've sat around the kitchen table reminiscing about High School, and many times 'Sies' comes up. May he rest in peace, and may he already be face to face with our Lord, and live in happiness now forever. God Speed to the family of this wonderful man. Dan/Dee Dee Goehler (SHS class of 79)
